One and a half year after LASIK surgery I suffer from a vexing ghosting effect on my left eye. There is a scar at the top side of my flap. My doctor recommends a PRK in order to fix the ghosting, but Im very concerned. Are there patients who also did a PRK after LASIK? Did it really help fixing or mitigating the ghosting?
59 year old male. I had PRK 25 years ago. I have ghosting in both eyes. The left eye is much worse. Wearing RGPs eliminates the issue, but when I wear glasses it is a problem. With current technologies, are there options?
Problem with street and car lights in night. Blurry image in morning. I am recovering slowly. Vision is still not as clear (crisp) as it used to be when I wore glasses. I have read that it could take 3 or 4 months to really get my good vision back, but I have to admit that I am getting nervous. Improvment is slow as compare to my colleagues and feels that I should be 20/20 by now. Before surgery I was -7.50 in left and 5.50 on right.
I had in my left eye -3.5 myopia and 2.9 astigmatism and in my right eye -5 myopia and 2.9 astigmatism. My left eye is good no ghosting and good vision, but my right eye have shadow/ghosting as in the attached image, if I put my cell phone close, image is good in my right eye, as soon as I increase the distance of the phone from my right eye, the shadow/ghosting begins. Also in both eye, I have light around bright objects with dark background, do I need a second surgery? did I damaged my eye?
2.5 mos after wavefront optimized PRK with alcon excimer 5000. Still having significant ghosting especially with reading road signs and traffic lights at night and on 1 drop pred forte for mild haze according to DO. Chances this will resolve in months to come? Current rx: plano, -1.25 and plano, -1.00? Please see pic for most recent post-op note and topo scans. Do I need an enhancement? Would i benefit more from topo or wavefront PRK for the enhancement if so?
I had PRK 2 months ago and have astigmatism/ghosting/haze? Have severe ghosting still during both day and night. Now 2 months post-op for wavefront optimized PRK from original Rx: -3.5, -1 and -2.5, -0.25. based on the haze, residual astigmatism,
One week after optimized PRK OU for myopia with astigmatism (OD -3.75, -1 x010, OS -2.5, -0.25 x170) with Alcon Wavelight Ex500 settings at -3.6-0.77x 010 , -2.39-0.25 x170. Nearsighted since w severe ghosting. autorefracted (+0.25, -0.75) (+0.25, -2). The OD @ post op said healing besides trace SPK OU and didn't mention seeing corneal haze, scar, edema on slit lamp. So why am I overcorrected and is it permanent? finished 1 week course of Ofloxacin.doing 1 mo tapered prednisolone, art tears.
I had pure astigmatism in both eyes (left -4.00), (right -4.75).. and my cornea was fine and it's thickness was like 580mm for both eyes.i chose PRK . he did Aspheric optimized profile to my eyes.. since the days 8 post prk i noticed that my right eye has very clear vision while my left eye has a very bad ghosting (Haze i guess) ... and still the same 1 month now after PRK .i have no dry eyes anymore .. i no longer take Orchapred (steroid drops) the doctor told me to stop after 1 month . normal?
