Ive had a nightmare with veneers. I had some done last year that kept falling off, etc. I managed to get some back & earlier this year I went to a reputable cosmetic dentist. I was never given a retainer for my top teeth, only the bottom. I have now realised that my two front veneers have moved apart slightly. The dentist has told me they will make a retainer that will make my veneers tighter, will this really work? Ive provided a before and after pic. I loved them before :(
Hi I have temporary veneers in on my Peg laterals but only have my old retainer. I feel my teeth shifting and wont get a retainer till the real veneers come next month. Can I wear my old retainer to stop from shifting? The retainer doesnt fit that well with the two new veneers
I had an Essix retainer made for my new dental veneers. I was using a Hawley retainer before getting the veneers. I'm removing the retainer from the back teeth first and then moving forward, but it's a tight fit and it doesn't come off smoothly. Will the retainer loosen up a bit in time? I don't want to crack my veneers.
Recently had braces. Stopped wearing retainer. I had braces on both my top and bottom teeth and completed the full treatment. Forgot to put my retainers on most nights. Only my bottom teeth became affected and are now misaligned. Is it possible to get the veneers put on first, then invisalign, and then a permanently placed retainer inside my teeth? Or is there a particular order I need to do it in? I don't want to deal with removable retainers since I will not keep track of wearing them.
I have upper and lower veneers. Prior to these, I had Invisalign. My O only placed a permanent retainer on the lower teeth. He stated that my bottom teeth will hit the retainer if he puts on the upper teeth. I have bruxisim. What kind of retainer can I get without damaging my veneers? Will the molding impression for a nightguard damage my veneers? I remember it being difficult to remove when I got a crown and Im afraid it loosens my veneers.
My teeth are crooked and so I got braces. I have them on for 3 years now and still have 2 years before I can remove it and my dentist suggests that I get retainers after. I was wondering if I can have my braces removed now and get veneers? Will I need to wear retainers?
I had braces and my clear retainers got burned so i opted for permanent retainers. Now some of my teeth have moved , my bite is correct but i have pain and discomfort when i talk, my lower and upper jaw coordination has become weird , i had braces for a year and i removed them 6 months ago. My question is, can i remove my permanent retainer , wait for my teeth to relapse then do veneers? some doctors told me that my teeth might take a new position that is even worse, is that true? i'm 30 .
