So I did a stupid thing. I had emax veneers placed in Colombia and I have been absolutely broken about them. The color is fine but the shape is squared off and jokerish. I placed them originally to close off a slightly open bite and white my teeth. I am wondering if its possible to round off the teeth and possible make the lateral incisors slightly shorter. I am willing to risk a small Amt of visible open bite to avoid looking so creepy. Is it possible to reshape/ round off the veneers?
Hi , I unfortunately developed an open bite fallowing a bad mouth guard and I really do not want to wear Invisalign at the moment. Would zircon crown/ porcelain veneers be a good option in this case or is it too invasive to shave around 24 tooth to close the bite. Please advise.
So I went to the dentist today in hopes of closing in the gapes between my teeth (the upper ones) and to fix the small open bite I have. She said that veneers will be a quick fix for this problem and I don't mind getting it but then she said I needed to have root canal on my two front teeth which I couldn't understand why. To my knowledge, root canal is for inflamed or infected teeth and my teeth are perfectly healthy and strong. Can someone please advice me on this?
Is it possible to get veneers to correct a bite? None of my teeth touch when I bite down besides the left central incisor. I had braces and my teeth are pretty straight. When I got my braces removed my bite was ok, all my teeth touched and aligned together properly. I did have my top 2nd molars worked on for cavities. After that is when I noticed my bite being off. Im not sure if my jaw moved due to not having teeth being how they were or because the dentist shaved the teeth down too short.
I have an anterior open bite which I doubt I'll ever fix so I want my teeth to look better cosmetically. Cosmetic braces cost the same as veneers yet they wont look how I want them too. When I smile naturally you can't see my bottom teeth so the bite doesn't matter. My teeth cause me continuous anxiety and low self esteem. It would change my life to have them look like veneers. Is it a good idea or what do you suggest? I'm a working class adult so financially veneers every 10 years seems scary.
I am 24 and have been super insecure about my teeth, I dont smile when I take pictures and I cant make friends because I hate my teeth, so i was wondering if veneers can help me get a temp. smile untill I save up to get them fix. please help I need this for my self esteem.
I had braces in high school for a total of about 5 years to correct a severe open bite . I chose permanent retainers and they have failed to keep my teeth in the condition they were in after I got my braces off. I see my teeth shifting more and more and I was wondering if There were any longer lasting alternative to braces that I could/should be looking into like possibly porcelain veneers ? I'm trying to avoid wearing braces for another million years. :) Thanks in advance for your reply
I have been looking into ways to improve my small, gummy, and canted smile for awhile. I have found a cosmetic dentist I feel strongly can improve my teeth with veneers, but I was curious what others think. I know my cant is due to my jaw being shifted to the right. Most professionals I have met say surgery is my best option. My jaw causes me no pain or any issue so surgery seems too invasive. I am in braces now to close an open bite, but the cant has always been there. Will veneers help?
