Flap-based breast reconstruction - DIEP

This 45-year-old woman with a history of breast cancer underwent bilateral mastectomy followed by radiation therapy to the... left breast. She chose not to have immediate reconstruction and sought a delayed reconstruction 1 year after completion of her radiation therapy. She opted for the technically-skilled, microsurgical DIEP flap utilizing her abdominal tissue. After photos are shown at 1 year postoperatively. more »
