Before and After Chin Implant With Liposuction (Front View)
This patient complained of a weak chin. The cosmetic deformity is better appreciated on quarter and side views. The deformity was due to a combination of anatomic factors. The patient had good occlusion (teeth fit together well), but the chin was under developed. She had a... moderate fat pad causing poor definition between the neck and jaw. Skin tone was good. The patient had a trachea that was positioned in an anterior position, which further obscured the neck definition (nothing could be done about this). A Medpor extended implant was used to correct the appearance of the underdeveloped chin, and approximately 250 cc’s were removed using liposuction. Patient is seen 2 months postop.
