26 year old male patient concerned about low, broad bridge, wide nostrils and bulbous, undefined nasal tip. An Open... Rhinoplasty technique was performed as well as refining nasal surgery. Patient's dorsum was elevated using a custom carved silastic implant, SLUPimplant, and bilateral osteotomies reduced and refined the width of the bridge nose. He also had a reduction of nasal alar, or nostrils, using a vertical and horizontal nostril narrowing technique. Cartilage strut and shield grafts were placed to further define and support the tip. The nasal frontal and profile views show the precise elevation of naso-frontal angle the patient desired. The final results achieved a more aesthetically pleasing nose postoperatively, which also preserved the patient's ethnic nasal features. more »
