African American Rhinoplasty

25 year old requesting a reduction of a nasal dorsal bump, re-augmentation of the naso-frontal angle, more definition in her... nasal tip and narrowing of her nasal nostrils. Patient underwent African-American Ethnic Rhinoplasty Surgery which included reduction of the nasal bony hump using a rasp and cartilage shave technique, and placement of the custom carved silastic implant for bridge augmentation. The nasal tip was re-supported and restructured using a vertical dome division technique and cephalic strip. Re-projection and re-rotation of the tip was achieved using a cartilage shield and strut graft, which also further defined the nasal tip. A vertical and horizontal nostril narrowing technique was performed to reduce alar width. more »
