This woman presented to the Center for Dermatology Care in Thousand Oaks for treatment of the frown lines or furrows between... her brows (the glabellar area). We discussed various treatment options, and the patient chose Botox® since these lines tend to be secondary to movement (i.e. dynamic wrinkles). Treatment only with a filler (e.g. Juvederm, Restylane) would only be very short lived and would not treat the cause of her frown lines. The area was treated with Botox, and this gave a more relaxed, rested appearance to the glabella. The frown lines or furrows in this area were significantly improved, and the patient was very pleased with the result. more »
