Lower lid blepharoplasty and Fat Transfer to lower lids and midface
This young patient was unhappy about her lower lid “bags” and hollowing of her midface. She underwent a lower lid blepharoplasty (avoiding a skin incision) to remove the bulging fat pads. Fat grafting was done to give her more of a natural appearance and volume to her lower lids and midface.
Postoperative photo showing the improvement in her lower lid/midface complex.
Preoperative side profile view demonstrating the lower lid fat prolapse and midface volume deficit.
Side profile views demonstrating the improvement in her “negative” vector by appropriately augmenting the midface deficits through complementary fat grafting.
Preoperative Diagnosis: Lower lid orbital fat prolapse, midface hypoplasia. Procedure performed: Bilateral transconjunctival lower lid blepharoplasty, complementary fat grafting to lower lids
