Dental implant to replace missing upper front incisor

The site of the extraction was first grafted to augment bone and gingiva. Then a single implant was placed. Following a three month temporization, final crown was placed on the implant.

Patient presented with loss of his front tooth following extraction. He was initially told there is not enough bone and... recommended to get a bridge. But he knew that would involve preparation of the adjacent teeth and did not want to do that. He had loss of bony width as well as some height. After three months, it was temporized to help form the gum tissue. Finally a full ceramic abutment and crown was placed by the prosthodontist. more »
