Hair Loss Level: NW 3 hairline recession with NW5 area of thinning Surgery: I used Single Follicle Extraction and Transfer... (SFET) method of Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) procedure to refine and advance a NW3 case using 3500 grafts derived from the head donor area and nape to create a soft natural hairline and restore him from NW 3 to a state of zero appearance of baldness. Lessons: Sometime the patients cannot afford large numbers of grafts and / or repeated hair transplantation surgeries. It may also be that the patient lacks the donor hair supply because of physiology or previous surgeries. Low number of follicles can be used to restore significant level of baldness. A skilled hair restoration surgeon would know how to create a natural look in this situation. more »
