Surgery: Patient had strip surgeries with large plug transplantation to his frontal scalp. As his hair loss progressed, the transplanted hair which is permanent remained. The result is an abnormal pattern in which the patient has this island of hair in the front surrounded by areas of hair loss. The patient came to have this abnormal pattern repair in early 2008. About 3000 grafts were placed using my advanced follicular Unit Extraction method – FUE which is called Single follicle extraction and transfer - SFET. With this knife free method that leaves no linear scar, I was able to use 3000 grafts from the patients nape and head to cover the crown and bridge the unnatural gap between the isolated tuft of hair in the front and the side and temples.
