Facial thinning is markedly improved after 4 sessions of sculptra (poly-L-lactic acid) injections. Volume injected ranged from... 4-6 ccs each session. Sculptra is now FDA-approved for cosmetic use. Side effects can include bruising which we have found to be mild to none in most cases, and small nodules under the skin which is now minimized by larger dilutions of the active ingredient in sculptra - poly-L-lactic acid. This treatment has been particularly nice for our patients who wish to have the absolute most minimal downtime (usually because of work)and for those who wish to have gradual, subtle, natural results. more »
