Cosmetic Concern: 43-year old woman with a stable weight, who desires sculpting of her inner and outer thighs and tops of the hips.
Diagnosis: Localized adiposity of the waist, inner and outer thighs.
Treatment: Tumescent liposuction of the inner and outer thighs as well as the flanks.
Discussion: This is a common combination of areas for women due to how body fat is stored on the female body. These also tend to be the areas where clothes fit the tightest. The goal is not to remove all the fat. The goal is to achieve an improved shape. Fat is golden. It is just that we want it to be ideally distributed. This is body sculpting.
