Elite status on RealSelf.com has its privileges. These exclusive benefits are designed to deliver significant web exposure and high quality patient inquiries to doctors active in the community. There is no charge for any of these levels...you earned it!

Earning Elite status
Becoming Gold or Platinum is straight forward.
Gold Elite means you:
- Answer 20 questions per month
- Add at least 20 photos to the galleries
- Link to RealSelf.com from your site
- 200 posts per year in total
Platinum Elite means you:
- Answer 30 questions per month
- Add at least 30 photos to the galleries
- Link to RealSelf.com from your site
- 300 posts per year in total

Description of Elite program benefits
1. Patient inquiry form
Patients interested in your service can complete a form to request more information. Our team moderates all request in order to reduce the instances of spam and general questions best handled on the site. Unlike other services, this is offered at no charge.
2. Link to your website
A link to your website drives traffic direct to you. Each click is tracked and reported back to the elite member via a "dashboard." Top participants drive thousands of clicks to their website each month.
3. Widget for your website
Elite status allows you to add your RealSelf posts (answers) back to your own website. This "widget" is very simple to add to a page and helps increase the information offered to your web visitors. Q&A also increases time on your site and user engagement.
4. Post answers on Twitter
All elite members can request that their RealSelf postings get automatically sent out into their twitter feed. If a doctor doesn't have a twitter account, RealSelf offers assistance in setting it up. Twitter is quickly becoming one of the most important tools consumers use to communicate and search the web.
5. Appointment inquiry button on answers & photos
A "Contact the doctor" button is prominently displayed on answers and photos. This increases the rate at which a prospective patient connects with a doctor in their area.

Photo galleries are heavily visited on RealSelf.com. Over 15% of our visitors explore these galleries. An in-line "contact the doctor" button can boost a doctors patient inquiries.
7. SEO boost: add link to each answer
Platinum status allows a doctor to add one link per answer to any website (called out as a "web reference"). This link is followed, and viewed by Google as a legitimate "vote" for the referenced site.

8. "Top Participant" badge
Elite members at platinum status are clearly "flagged" as a top participant in the RealSelf.com community. Community members appreciate their contributions and take note of this badge.
9. Promoted to homepage
Visitors to the RealSelf.com homepage can see the activity of a platinum level doctors. Each slot is rotated with platinum doctors several times a day.
