Botox for back painTraditionally, Botox has been used to treat fine lines and wrinkles. However, Dallas Botox specialists are finding another use for Botox: healing back pain.

Botox works by stiffening the tiny muscles in your face so that wrinkles will be erased out. However, the muscles in your back are larger, and instead of stiffening these muscles, Botox has the opposite effect: it relaxes these muscles, making physical therapy more effective.

Using Botox for the back is still very much in its infancy, which means that most insurance plans won't even think about covering it. However, for chronic back pain sufferers, Botox could mean the difference between pain and a way out of pain.
