I have had many laser treatments along with other procedures like Kybella and Morpheus 8 to reduce volume under my chin and to tighten the lax skin. After menopause, the elastin in my skin has gone downhill. I finally elected to have a lower facelift and neck lift with chin lipo to resolve the dangly loose skin under my chin. One year later the skin looks puckered or pleated. It's worse in the morning and only looks less prominent if I moisturize. Why does it look like this and what can I do?
6 months post double jaw surgery, I've noticed no improvement in my neck-chin angle or jowls. A key concern and motivation for the surgery. Possibly due to being older than the typical patient. Using tights, I simulated a desired tighter and better neck to chin angle. Could a neck lift, facelift, and lipo help achieve this look, or might further jaw advancement be necessary? I'm wondering if a low hyoid bone is factor but but Im curious if improvement with tights simulates a neck lift
For the longest time I thought I had a webbed neck, but my PCP said I dont. They said I have a large SCM. I do get pains in my neck often and I feel I have a limited range of motion in my neck. In one of the pictures you can tell that my right side is worse. If the problem is my SCM, would Botox help? I also see there is a SCM procedure. Would this help me?
I'm 36 and still losing weight (20lbs more to go) from having a baby but started forming this saggy skin. I'm concerned lipo will make it worse along with losing more weight. I've also seen tightening treatments make saggy skin worse in this area. So would neck lift be the best option instead? Thank you.
I have little to no jawline underneath my chin, I think this is a combination of a larger digastric muscles and excess skin and fat. Would you recommend a genioplasty or a neck lift to improve the appearance.
I had a brow, face and neck lift six months ago, and I am unhappy with the bulges under my neck, and the fact that I still have jowls. There is definite improvement, but I dont know if I should ask for a revision or if this is normal.
I am 51 years old and a deep plane face and neck lift in 03/23. I had significant neck laxity and jowling due to massive weight loss. The turkey neck is gone, but Ive been left with a mess on my neck. My surgeon claims it can be fixed with Forma and coolPeel. I went for a 2nd opinion and the surgeon said there were discrepancies in the operative report and he was reluctant to do any revision for fear of nerve damage. What can I do to fix this? And is it cobra neck?
I've read a lot of academic journal articles and doctors' responses on RealSelf about the pros and cons of partial submandibular gland resection for a better jaw contour. My doctor is experienced with them and seems to be well-regarded. I understand there are risks because of nearby nerves, and possibly dry mouth, but many doctors say that dry mouth is rare. However, is it possible that the possible slight reduction in saliva production only becomes apparently/problematic in old age?
