There is a singular bump/lump under my chin and has been there since my neck lift/lipo. I had the surgery done over 3 years ago. The lump is noticeable in pictures and flucuates in size. Is this fat that is getting bigger and smaller with my weight? Seroma?
I had a lower facelift and platysmaplasty in July of 2022. I have given my body 15 months to heal but Im not sure if I need more time. I have a lump in my neck (too high to be thyroid) and I am still a little bumpy/uneven under my chin along with a little divot. I asked my doctor about the lump, and he said I should speak to my primary care physician. Have you seen anything like this before with a neck lift? Is a revision necessary to smooth out the lumps? Thanks.
Dear Doctors, Thank you for taking the time to advise. I am a 60 year old female in excellent health. I had a necklift procedure in combination with facelift. 7 months ago. Everything has settled very nicely apart from these softish lumps . These were not pre existing but developed after procedure. I was thinking that it was post operative swelling and would dissipate over time. I feel that the size of the lumps has decreased probably by about 20% only over this time
I had a partial resection to a neck lift in November 2022 and my neck looks terrible . My plastic surgeon in Lituania suggested it might be scar tissue and to get Kenalog to correct it . Another doctor on here suggested it could be fibrous nodules secondary to the surgery and that intralesional triamcinolone could shrink it . I had an ultrasound through the NHS and have been told I have a harmless nodule . Help I need a doctor in London who can sort this out
When I was 36 I had a neck and facelift done with a platysmaplasty.a previous laser treatment left my a mess and this was my only choice to fix it:( After the surgery this lump remained, and the platysma muscles almost looked unstiched pretty soon after. Im not 43 and can bare to wear a scarf every day or hide it with my hair! Im getting married in November 2024 and I just want some nice side angle pics of me:( Im so embarrassed as the rest of my face is mistaken for in my early 30!
I had what I was told by my PS was a deep plane face and neck lift. I've developed 2 lumps of scarring in my neck on either side of my chin, that are very hard and stuck to the skin and muscle underneath. I also have recurring excess skin sagging. I had a consult with a different PS to get a 2nd opinion. He says the scar in my chin is too small for necklift and looks like only lipo. Is there another way a necklift could have been done? Did my PS really lie? Also, will massage help scarring
I had a Coronal brow lift, a facelift and a neck lift with liposuction 14 months ago. I've been concerned about a raised scar under my chin and various lumps and bumps and banding in the neck area. My surgeon told me to let things heal naturally and that we would evaluate at one year. At my one year he said everything looked great and sent me on my way. I'm still not pleased with the results of my neck. Any ideas how to make this look better?
I am 43 and have a very long thin neck that shows a lot of banding and crepey skin just below my chin. I tried the silouette threads four months ago to no avail. My concern is whether the threads which are still in my neck will cause an issue. I can feel lumps beneath my ear lobe from the cones. One cone popped out of my neck. If facetite is used would the heat cause complications with the remaining threads? Would the threads complicate surgery?
I'm 31 years old. My face looks young. BUT my neck not so much! I've heard that liposuction leaves lumpiness and a neck lift is around the same amount of money with better results. I'm not sure if I have fat above the muscle or below the muscle or both. I've researched a little and that seemed to be the reason for recommending a neck lift. To all the doctors who reply, thanks so much for your input. It means a lot. Thank you.
How to treat cobra neck due to over aggressive lipo 10yrs ago. I had a face lift 2 years ago but I was told that due to the scar tissue, that fat couldn't be injected into the hollow. My profile is different on each side due to the uneven lumps on sides of indention. Extra skin bands drive me crazy. Is there anything that can be done?
