After much research I decided to go for a lower face/neck lift and you can see the results were brutal. I developed a massive hematoma within 3 hours of coming out of surgery so 4 hours later I was back in for another 2 1/2 hour surgery to stop the bleeding. The Dr. said it was all my fault because I was too anxious? Is there anything you can suggest besides a full redo as I don't know mentally if I can do it again, but if I do, do you have any suggestions for a competent Dr. in Western Canada.
Photos taken in August 2019. How can the hematoma/scar tissue be eliminated (it is soft tissue). If surgery is needed to remove it, please help me and explain the surgery. My neck is terribly disfigured with hematoma/scar tissue.I will sincerely appreciate your response to my question.
Due to my blood pressure getting extremely high after the surgery: hematoma which required opening it and flushing out the fluids. Being followed up every other day draining fluid and the PS has injected steroids twice so far. Im getting married in 6/19 did not want to look like this.
What exactly is meant by a revision to correct what Im showing in the picture? Does this require a complete procedure again. Not happy with how I look and dont want to look like this on my wedding day in June 2019. I will see my PS again on 2/26 and I like to know his suggestions to my healing process.
It's been 7.5 months since I had a lower neck and face and eye lift. At 7 weeks I developed a hematoma in the middle of my neck. My doctor had to drain it, sometimes twice a day because it would fill back up. I was put on 4 different antibiotics. He started to drain and pack the area. Finally it started to heal, leaving a scar where it was. At 3 months post op, underneath my neck started to swell, not under my chin. Shots didn't work. At 6 mos post op he has injected Kybella. I need advice.
I am 3 days post op from a submentoplasty and neck sculpting liposuction. I have a drain on the right side of my neck, but the left side seems to have significant more swelling. There is more bruising on this side as well. There is a mass when I touch the spot. The on-call surgical fellow says its impossible to have a hematoma with a drain, but I have my suspicions and will be following up with my surgeon in the morning. Any additional advice would be most appreciated.
7 month post corset plasty/trad. Neck lift. Had hematoma & seroma post sx day 1. Healed nicely. So see no connection. Growing tightness-sticky duct tape pull feel when turn neck. Feels like unremitting vice. Ps recs myofascial release tx. Primary MD instead recs PMR & Neuro. Can adhesions w/in the tissue layers occur? What would be non-visual physical symptoms of myofascial adhesions? What will myofascial therapy do for my intense tightness? Thank you.
Hematoma occurred later in day. Re-operated on, with extensive cauterization on cheek & neck. Hematoma originated in neck. Then re-sewn. Still have AWFUL looking bumps/long line that are firm yet slighlty soft. Originally thought to be seroma but no fluid emerged after aspiration. Then told it was the muscle from being pulled tight. 2nd in person opinion stated due to cauterization and said DONT TOUCH, and will go away after 3 months. Online doctors said to massage. WORRIED! Will it go? When?
The day of the facelift I developed a hematoma. The facelift was reopened to relieve the hematoma and then sewn up a 2nd time. 3 weeks post op, the good side looks fantastic! The hematoma side has 2 large bumps and a long string like bump below. These exist below the cheekbone and look awful. It looks worse than photo. Thought it was a seroma but via needle aspiration little if any fluid emerged. Will these go away? When? No changes in 5 days. Very concerned. Also, vision is now very blurred.
I had a smas lower face and neck lift 5 weeks ago. Unfortunatly I had complications-- multiple hematomas, severe swelling and bruising. In fact I am still bruised. My lift is looking great but I have been experiencing pretty intense pain on and off the past 5 weeks on one side near the ear, jaw joint and temple. I have been to my doctor many times. One time it felt better after draining but I am past that stage now and the pain is back. Doc has no answers.
