An expert PS I saw at 6 mos post op said at that point there wasn't enough skin to tuck my poorly placed ear scars, which are too far in front of and below each ear, into my ear contours. Will this still be a problem at 1 yr? Also, will the lumpy hypertrophic scars in back of my ears be easily fixed in a 2nd procedure? Will a new neck lift cause yet more problematic scars? Since the 1st procedure was a fail, I need to do over again anyway and I want these ugly scars hidden as much as possible.
for reference I had a full neck lift w lipo and platysmal plasty I have maintained a consistent weight since post op and followed aftercare instructions to a T. my surgeon claims my results are optimal but I am deeply unsatisfied with my results. Did my neck lift fail?
13 Weeks post op: at rest, or slight movement of face, one band and loose skin is strongly visible and with movement several seem to show up. Theres still irregularities throughout that area. There is some firm, slightly tender tissue at the top of the band. My ps says to wait till the 6 months mark. But I cant see this going to improve. Any hope?? Thank you
I am 69 years old .I have already 11 weeks after the neck lifting. Before surgery i had swolen platysma bands and some loosen skin. After 8weeks the platysma bands were there and the skin under my chin looked worse.-see foto. After another three weeks there is no improvment at all.In your opinion do i have any chance for improvment? What can i do? thank you
Is it possible for the platysma muscle to snap back to its post operative position right after a necklift. The skin on my neck and chin is loose and saggy 3 months after surgery. I have very wide stretched scars behind the ears in the area going up into the hairline. My neck is still very sore from behind the ear all the way down both sides of the neck.
I had a face and neckline over eight months ago and was especially happy with the neck improvements. In the past 2-3 months my neck seems to be changing and not in a good way. A double chin seems to be developing (although I didn't have one before surgery) and the center area is collapsing and separating. I am still happy with the effects of the facelift (cheeks are smother and lifted). Can this neck be improved? I have included a photo from January (5 months ago, 4 months after surgery).
I recently had Platysmaplasty and liposuction done to my neck. What are the chances of the internal dissolvable sutures dissolving too soon an ruining my Platysmaplasty? Is there anything I can do to minimize the possibility of this happening? Does it happen very often that the internal dissolvable sutures used to tie up the muscle dont do their job and the procedure fails? If it doesn't fail how long will it last
