It's been 6 wks since my mm. It's been 2 wks that I've been having leaking from my navel (& looks like a tiny opening upper left corner) . Went to PS last week and took a culture which came back with 3 bacterias including staph, ecoli. Had a u/s that showed a 3mm seroma build-up. I have been given Keflex (4 day) cipro (2 day) and oxycodene * for pain is 7/10. PS said it's a seroma but can be a suture that is infected and needs to be cleaned out? What other imaging would I have to do to know this?
Any advice would help, should I seek a wound care person? I had a tummy tuck, breast lift and augmentation 7 months ago and have had areas on my tummy tuck open since month 1, my doc has had to open areas and clean out, he has blamed it on spitting sutures, old blood (irritation from drains) and fat necrosis, he has opened areas and left them open for me to pack and allow it to heal from the inside out, but some of these areas healed and closed and re open again. Scar looks worse
Everything been going fine except recently. The middle of my tummy tuck it started spitting a suture, dr cleaned it out cut out what needed to be cut out and told me to pack the hole with gauze 2x day until it heals on it own which he estimated about 3wks my question is with it open like that again would it be ok to drink for New Years or will it slow down healing process? I don't want to do anything that will affect my final results when it heals will there be a hole or will it seal shut?
I'm not a native english-spoken so sorry in advance for my writting. I had a breast reduction with implants and tummy tuck 5 weeks ago. Everything seems to be perfect but since 1 week ago I start spitting stitches and there's some small holes now. Today I saw my PS and told me That this areas need Debridement and be suture again so make the healing fast. I'm on antibiotics now. So this cleaning and closing is a good idea?
I had a spitting suture that I removed it was a dissolving one I believe it was clear like a fishing line. I had my surgery done in Mexico my doctors there. and I'm just concerned because I've been watching my incision on my own I had a extended tummy tuck . With breast lift and implants. when I take a shower it's softens scabs up I'm wondering if I shouldn't not let them get wet
Is it unusual to continue to have spit in stitches? Is there anything that I should be concerned with? Is there a time frame in which the spitting stitches should stop? Last but not least, I want to thank everyone for answering my questions. It has been nice to be able to get other input.
I had a mommy make over 6 weeks ago. I was very healed until a few days ago. This week 1 tiny hole opened on my left breast then another on my right...then one on my TT scar. Doctor says I spit a stich. The nurse couldn't find anything. I was told to peroxide twice a day while keeping it clean and dry. Does that sound about right?
