About 6 months or so ago I had a mole removed from my nose and biopsied. It was non cancerous thankfully, however I am left with what I believe the derm called a deep pigmentation. The area is completely flat but it is very dark almost like the mole is still there, but it looks like a dark freckle or birth mark. I would really like to get this removed because it bothers me greatly however not sure what the best way to do so is.
I always had a beauty mark on my cheek next to my mouth. I recently noticed a pimple underneath my beauty mark, I popped it and the beauty mark got a scab and started peeling. I tried to let it be and not bother it but it was really difficult. It eventually peeled off. The thickness is still there, it's not bleeding, it's not painful, it hasn't changed in size or shape or anything, just the pigment isn't really there. Will the pigment come back? I've read that it can come back in a month or so.
About ten years ago, I had a mole on my face examined. They shaved off part of it and it came back benign. Ive had this funky pigmentation left over ever since. Its almost like the leftover of the mole, but its irregularly shaped. Recently, Ive just been nervous that maybe the irregular shape should be concerning?
I had a mole that started itching occasionally so I went to have it checked. The doctor wasn't worried but I had him remove it anyway. He did a shave excision and had it biopsied and the results were negative for any cancer. A couple days after the removal some of the area around the still open wound turned dark brown and has irregular borders. I'm a bit worried. I don't have a before picture but it was round raised mole with no pigmentation outside the round mole.
I had a mole removed on my side under my armpit (right under my bra strap) by a punch biopsy on March 2017 (10 months ago) it came back benign and about 3 months later i had it removed again because some pigment came back, once again by a punch biopsy. This time it was deeper and I got 2 stitches but still came back as benign. Its been 10 months and I still have a what feels like a firm lump on the site of the biopsy. Should I be worried?
I had a shave biopsy done on a mole about two months ago. The mole (as pictured below) was dark in color and had a small black spot in its center. The results showed it was benign. My concern is with the healing at the site of the biopsy - the brown color seems odd to me. I have read that pigmentation can be left behind during a shave biopsy, and I want to see if that's the case here. I have included a picture of the spot after 2 months of healing. Does this look normal? Is there cause for concern?
I had a mole removed about 3 months ago and I had taken pictures one week after and it had pigment left behind while it was healing. I got the call and told the mole was not cancerous so i put it off, now I am seeing pigment pop up and started freaking out if this is normal from a shave biopsy or it was possible melanoma. Here are the photos from a week after the biopsy and now.
I noticed a small mole in between my buttocks a couple of months, 3mm, hasn't changed color or shape ever since I noticed it and I monitor it pretty often. A couple of days ago I realized the mole felt really dry and a layer of dead skin fell off. I got really anxious and went to my derm to get it biopsied. She did a shave biopsy and mentioned there's a residual pigment left but told me I shouldn't worry about it. I'm getting quite anxious and wonderingIs it normal to have pigment left after a shave?
In a week I am getting a pigmented raised facial mole removed with a radiofrequency device. I would just like to know how likely it is to grow back or for the pigment to reappear? and how long it will take to heal? I have been told 1 week but I am not sure if it will be fully healed in 1 week. Thanks for the help!
In April 2016, I had a mole removed/frozen from my nose, but received a dark scar from the the procedure. Dermatologist prescribed hydroquinone 4% in October 2016, and as of February 2017 I've experienced darker pigmentation. The area is very similar to a blister and instead of lighting up, it's darker around the area. Is bio-oil, coconut oil or viatamin E recommended, to condition the area and heal the burn/darker area now that I've discontinued using the hydroquinone 4% product?
