Doctors ask me to keep it as much dry as possible and do not moist it? Would be very grateful for any recomendations how to speed up the healing process and the answer if it is healing properly. It looks like it is healing from sides to the inside, but will I get a scub? PS. in how many weeks can I start swimming? Thank you very much in an advance for your answer.
I recently had a severe atypical mole and had surgical exercision on my foot. Im happy with the removal but its been a few days and it seems very red to me. Im concerned its Infected. Im actually on antibiotics and have diligently cleaned my wound 2-3x a day with hydrogen peroxide and water and polysporin then covered with a clean bandage. Ive done everything to keep it from getting Infected. It is not oozing green pus thankfully its more the redness that concerns me. Thank you for any advice.
Note I did see a dermatologist prior to confirm moles were non cancerous before procedure. After procedure the astectcian put a organic peel on my face and said it well accelerate process of moles to scab and fall off. She provided me with an exfoliant, vitamin a and d oinment, I was surprised that she never mentioned antibiotic cream. I have some silvadine cream should i use it, if so do I put the silvadine cream after I have applied the vitamin oinment. Trying to minimize scar and infection
I had a mole ,laser removed yesterday which left a hole side off forehead . do I need to keep it covered up. This hole is side off forehead it was bandaged up . Second day i have put on the antibiotic cream but should I cover it up ? I was told not to get get it wet.
I had a mole removed 5 days ago and it has become increasingly red around the edges and is now yellowish white and releasing pus. I have washed with soap every day and put on Vaseline with a fresh bandaid as per doctors instructions. Should I continue this and it will heal or do I need to see a doctor for oral antibiotics?
I was on azithromycin for sinus infection and had to have a surgical mole excision (the ellipse was about an inch, maybe a little over, 8 stitches) on my back. I was prescribed Amox-Clav and told to take it the day after I finished the azithromycin (I finished the azithromycin 3 days after the excision). Do I really need it? The stitches look fine, and I'm starting a new job so I'm worried about the amoxicillin upsetting my stomach. The last time I took it 2 years ago I threw up for a whole day.
I had 8 moles removed by shave/electro surgery method 6 days ago. 1 of the moles appears to be infected, I am applying antibiotic ointment 3 times a day & gently washing the wound x2 daily & changed dressing x 3 daily. Other wounds are a slight pink & moist, 2 wounds don't seem to soak up moisture & are scabbing slightly. Care sheet advises wound will be white with a pink ring, but for one particular wound I'm afraid it is infected. This wound immediately looked white once the removal was done.
It was removed a week ago and two days ago it got this red ring around it. I've been using bacitracin on it, but it still looks angry. No pus, and the pain is bothersome but not too bad. My derm didn't return my phone call today, should I go see my dr to get antibiotics?
