Please help. Depressed. Horrible crater after mole removal 12 days ago. I did everything correctly. Kept it moist and covered out of the sun. How soon can I look into correcting this? On the front of my face .
I got 7 moles removed on my face about a month ago via laser, they all healed normally but the one on my forehead has slight swelling and 2 faint dark spots the re appeared after about 2 weeks.kinda painful to press on. Its not an open wound or anything. Whats wrong? Included is 2 photos, one of the forehead with red area, and small dark spots. One picture of my cheek area where another four moles were removed looking normal. And the last photo of what the original forehead mole looked like.
I had a mole excision on my toe with a full thickness skin graft performed 2 1/2 weeks ago. It still is very swollen and tender. I am starting to get worried about infection. I have an appointment with my Dr. but can't get in for another week. Just wondering if this look like a normal healing for this procedure. Thank you in advance for you input.
I had a mole removed by shave biopsy on the side of my breast 12 days ago and it doesn't appear to have healed at all yet. I dont see anany signs of new skin and it still appears open. The wound bed is moist, but the drainage doesn't seem purulent. Why might it not be healing/ what can I do to improve healing? (The redness that's away from the site is irritation from the band aid)
It's been 13 days since my mole excision. Some sutures were removed on day 7 and others were removed on day 9. Since the sutures were removed, I've noticed some railroad track marks on the stitches. Will these suture marks disappear? Also, how long does it take for the incision line to disappear/flatten out? Right now there is a noticeable line from where the incision was. Is there any benefit in massaging the area?
I fear the rash more than the wound! It's purple, raised, itchy, & seems to get worse daily... I'm also concerned by the fact that the wound hasn't closed at all. It's actually slightly larger now. Initially, the bandaids seemed to cause itchy bumps, so I switched to Tegaderm which felt amazing!, but fluid kept accumulating. Today I stopped using the Polysporin from the doc & bought some Vasoline. Still worried. Upside? It's benign :)
I'm upset with my results and need answers! The test came back and it was a fibrous papule & my dermatologist said it the type that will grow bigger by shave excision, and I need to have it completely removed (with stitches) she had referred me to a ENT doctor. I'm scared and don't know what to do at this point! I should have left the bump alone by now I have to deal with the consequences.
Shave excision biopsys 12 days out oozing yellow liquid, and still not healed. I have been washing it out with Cetaphil, applying Polysporin and covering it with a bandage. Does it appear infected? Because of it's location it's being constantly irritated. Thank you!
I had a small mole on my face removed about two weeks ago. The dermatologist did it by shaving it off and cauterizing the base. So far I've kept it bandaged & have been applying vaseline on it twice a day. The scab's fallen off and what's left is pink skin. It's too soon to tell, but I'm worried about the mole returning. Could a cauterized mole still grow back? And how long should I keep it bandaged/apply vaseline? Thank you!
