It looks like the sutures did not hold the upper portion together well and has left a triangular indenture. My current routine is to clean 2-3x daily and keeping the area moist with a thin layer of Aquaphor to prevent scabbing in hopes that this will allow the wound to granulate and fill back in. Is this what I should be doing? What else can I do? Does it look like this wound will continue to build up or has it stalled? Is there anything the doctor can do to improve the healing?
I had a mole shaved off my stomach 5 days ago. The site is more tender than it was at first. I'm not sure if what I'm seeing is a normal healing process or a potentially worrisome infection. I've been applying antibiotic ointment and keeping it covered. I put hydrogen peroxide on it this evening, and I'm not sure if that would also contribute to slightly increased pain now.
I got a mole removed 4 days ago by shave excision then was cauterized to stop some bleeding. I have been cleaning the incision everyday with warm water and mild soap, applying Vaseline and covering it with a Tegaderm Pad. There has been a small amount of thick, light brown discharge with a slight odor. The excision is located under the breast, and is very painful with any type of movement. I wondering if it looks like it is healing properly or looks infected?
Had a mole removed on my ear. It looks like a bite was taken out of the cartilage from the side view. Bit painful to sleep. Question is can I just let it granulate in? Or is the cartilage an issue? If I can, when can I return to swimming in a pool (competitive swimmer). The problem is I had the surgery done in SC and moved to Cincinnati. Difficult to get back for the graft. Was done 1 week ago. From the front it isn't noticeable, but from the side a bit worse.
A little over a week ago I used a mole removal cream to get rid of a flat mole I had on my nose. It took 3 overnight applications to scab. I put antibiotic ointment on the scab whenever I could. The scab fell off after 4 days and the new skin did look healthy, but there was an dent left. I put on ointment and a bandaid whenever I go out in the hot sun. Today it looks like a small indentation that is still pink.
I had gotten four moles removed on July 19, one being on my nose. The ones on my body turned a light pink shade that I dont mind but the sight on the nose turned dark and brown. I dont know what to do it feels as if the mole is still there since its so dark
I got my mole removed a week ago and have been washing it everyday and covered it with band aids so it wouldnt get irritated. My doctor said to put rubbing alcohol on it which I have done a couple times. Its red from the bandaids but want to make sure its healing okay.
