I had Mohs surgery on my forehead in November 2015. I lost the feeling in my scalp and was told by my surgeon that the cancer had wrapped around my nerves so they had to be cut away. He did say that the nerves may grow back due to my age I was 34. Post surgery I noticed that my hair grew in different directions&become more coarse at the roots. At the moment my scalp is really itchy and has a burning sensation a lot of the time -It's driving me mad! My scalp feels tingly, any advice is welcome.
the Dr had to take 2 cuts to get it all, it went to the skull. I have a 2" hole in my forehead. The last bolster was taken out 2 weeks ago, it was to big to sew and a skin graft would have looked terrible. I am keeping the hole filled with polysporin and bandaged. The itching around the hole is unbearable, he said it would be bandaged for at least 2 more months. How can I rid the itching, I don't want to irritate the healing as the hole is getting smaller. Any advise on healing? Thank you
I have had two MOHS surgeries and have been prescribed aldara for use 3x per week all over the face. Unfortunately, I also have rosacea. I am not quite sure if it is just the aldara (or if the aldara has perhaps aggravated my rosacea as well), but my skin is becoming sooo itchy! What can I do to make it more tolerable?
I have had this mole on my stomach for several years. I am 23. This past week, however, this mole on my stomach has felt dry. I just put a little lotion on it thinking it might be dry skin, and that seemed to work. The lotion would fix it, but I've never had this problem before. It is not itchy. Today I picked at it and it flaked a little. There was a clear fluid and a bit of blood, but only after I tried to pick it off. After removing the dry part, it looks normal again. Is this worrisome?
My dermatologist prescribed Aldera for a spot on my chest to treat basal cell carcinoma. I had several spots which although not tested looked like the spot that did test positive. I put Aldera over the area and now it is all red, bumpy and itchy. Will Aldera cause this reaction in an area if the skin is normal? I also have a bump starting on my face close to an area where I put it. Lastly, another post said this is toxic? Is this safe for my kids to be around me?
I am a 30 year old female with a new (6 months ago) brown spot on my left breast. It appeared one day and has remained unchanged since then. No growth or change in appearance. It is exactly where the end of my bra wire hits my skin. I have a bad habit of sleeping in my bra. I'm concerned about melanoma because I tanned for 2 years in my 20's. Please help! Thank you.
I've seen online pics of melanoma as a mole. However some sites say it can be on skin as bruise and not part of a mole. I have dark patch that noticed 3 weeks ago. Skin is dry there and itchy sometimes. I plan on seeing dermotoligst this week. In looking at picture attaches could melenoma look like a dark patch like I have on my back (upper LEFT)? I realize it can't be diagnose online from pic but from the look of this should I be concerned?
