Mohs Surgery + Hair Q&A

I have a squamous cell lesion on my scalp. 

I had basal cell carcinoma removed from my scalp. Had 22 staples removed yesterday and the nurse put a lot of polysporin. What can I use to remove the polysporin without affecting the incision?

After having Mohs surgery on my scalp for basal cell skin cancer, I had a flap done in one area. I have several scabs on my head and when they come off, so does my hair. Will it grow back and when?

The area is hidden, for the most part, by my hair. A friend warns that I should not trust the work to a dermatologist but rather seek a plastic surgeon. I'd prefer to stay with my dermatologist but scarring is a concern. Any advice would be appreciated.
