I am about 1-month post-op after I had MOHS surgery to remove BCC on my ala. Afterwards, a plastic surgeon performed a bilobed flap to close the wound. The top portion of the nose seems to be healing well, but I am admittedly upset with the result, as there is a bump above my alar groove, and the lower flap seems to have a considerable amount of pincushioning.
I had Mohs surgery just under 2 months ago for a basal cell carcinoma on my cheek. The doctor took off one layer, and, before stitching me up, dug a bit deeper to excise the root of the cancer (they found no cancer cells on the edges of the skin layer; only the root cells at the base). Over the past week, a tiny bump has emerged on the incision line in the approximate spot where the original skin cancer was. Is this just scar tissue forming, or could this be a recurrence of the cancer? T
Before Mohs Surgery 6 mos. ago my nose was perfectly straight. I was told Id consult w/surgeon day of surgery, but by the time the surgeon came in nurse had already drawn cuts. I had no options. Center does free revisions, but doctor said SHE was happy with it, so thats that. Nose is no longer straight - side view is like a roller coaster - a large thick bump + a depression. My nostrils are different sizes + my septum warped - hard to breathe. Is there anything I can do? I hate how I look now.
I had a red bump pop up on my nose about 6 months ago. It is slightly raised. It doesn't hurt, or doesn't bleed at all. It's just there and annoying me. When I press on it, it disappears and goes away. When I let go and don't apply pressure, it returns and turns red again. It has a small pinhead looking center almost like a sunken blackhead but not black but red. It has some blood vessels around it. I have used a clarisonic for years scrubbing. Looks like either basal cell or spider angioma??
4 years ago I found some blistered looking bumps on my left front of my shoulder just below the clavicle, itchy and very painful to the touch, my primary told me it was shingles and eventually would crust over and go away, here it is Four years later and still there, not much bigger if any than it was , a new doctor tells me it looks like cancer, I go to a dermatologist and he also says it looks like skin cancer but gave me very little information before scheduling a removal surgery
I have a skin colored raised bump, almost appears like a mosquito bite on the dorsum of my right hand. It is not crusted or flaky like a basal cell cancer but am concerned it could be th beginning of a type of skin cancer. It is painless. Small and not slightly raised. Should this ce cause for concern. I am 33 and have had a bcc on my chest 3 years ago. I have had a lot of sun exposure, tan easily, but have a lot of miles and freckles
Hello- I have a red, painful, oval shaped bump right along the line where my underwear or a bikini would fall. I've had ingrowns a lot in the past but this isn't going away and I can't find a root. It's painful because it rubs my clothes and I'm also noticing a faint smell. Had a Pap smear and urine test while it was there last week and came back clear but wondering if a blood test for herpes is necessary or if it could even be something skin cancer related as I have a history . Thanks!
A few days ago I was scratching my back and I scratched over a bump, and it was pretty painful for a few seconds. I kept feeling around to check if it was bleeding but I didn't have blood on my hands, but when I lifted my shirt this scab was there. I'm not sure if the bump was ever there before because I don't really take notice of my back. I also have a bit of back acne, but it's near the top of my back and rarely in the middle. I'm worried sick over this, could it be cancer? I'm 23 years old.
