Im halfway through the process, Top teeth removed, bottom teeth still intact, using temporary denture on top. I need to remove that denture to eat. I cannot eat with that denture in my mouth. My concern is once I get the all on (4,6) permanent implants and teeth which are screwed in, they obviously cannot come out. Has anyone had this done that can tell me their experience eating/chewing...

Good morning everybody I am looking for a little bit of information on the day of the surgery from people with 1st hand experience. I am traveling to get my work done and I am just wondering what I should expect. Thank you

I'm asking because I'm concerned the bite will be off

I had my surgery 6 days ago.  Dentist put temporary implants (upper). It feels too high and too tight and uncomfortable.  I know I have to get used to them and everything is still tender. Is it normal?

After I had my implants done a ringing/ buzzing noise developed in my ears. I had my hearing tested thinking I was starting to go deaf but the specialist found no ear or hearing problems and said it must be the dental work related. When I went for my check up after the implants I discussed it with the mouth and jaw specialist. To say the very least he became very defensive and said it was all...

I’m currently missing 6 uppers (3 on each side). Currently wear a partial but want something permanent and more realistic. Figured either dental bridges or implants would be the way to go. I would prefer to find a reputable and affordable dentist near Metro Atlanta who offers quality service and product. Any suggestions?

The dental explorers, curettes can create microscopic scratches in the porcelain of an implant. Also, there would be havens for further bacterial growth. Besides, the tooth enamel is not a thick coating instead the curettes and explorers of stainless steel instruments can cause scratches on it.

I've had my all on 4 upper and lower for two and a  half months.I didn't notice till now but I've noticed in the last week or so. . It seems unstable it seems like one side wants to tilt or give more than the other on the upper.i'm not due for x-rays for another month and a half but I think I should go in and let them check it. Has anyone noticed that  in the healing stages that has ha...

Last Wednesday I had all my teeth extracted due to bone density loss and periodontal disease as a result of taking Lupron 7 years ago for my health condition endometriosis.I currently have 4 implants in my top jaw and 4 in my bottom jaw and in 6 months time they will add 2 more up the top and 2 more in the bottom .. Currently toothless which is not the easiest mental state to be in... Just...

The lower jaw was done perfectly, When the upper jaw was placed, it never fit properly. The dentist told the person who makes the appliance to lower it 3 mm which he failed to do. Then my dentist said it was my fault due to TMJ or other reasons. He finally changed his opinion and had it redone. It is now 1 1/2 years, with countless hours in his chair and it still does not line up right. My...

I had all on 4 done recently. About 1 1/2 months ago. My temperary teeth are fitting tight up against my gums on one side( like they should). And on the other side it's not touching my gums. Will that cause problems when I go to get permanant?

I ended up going with no teeth for 4 months because I could I couldn't put my lips together when I tried to wear the temporary denture. Today I went in to receive the prefabricated abutment for 3 on 6 procedure. And they are even worse then the temporary denture. They are the ugliest set of horse teeth that I have ever seen on anyone. I came home and cried for hours,

I had my #30 tooth extracted about 15 months ago. At that time my dentist told me that I don't have enough bones for implanting and asked me to wait a few months for bones to grow. He checked on me for readiness during my routing clean up visits. Two months ago he told me that I am finally ready for implanting and scheduled it for this morning. However, halfway into the procedure this morning,...

I had a ceramic implant placed almost 3 weeks ago. The procedure went well (I did not need a bone graft). After 1 week, swelling went down and I didn't even notice it was there. Maybe it wasn't a great thing because I wasn't really brushing around it well. I did take the 7 day antibiotic. After about 10 days i noticed the gums looked puffy on top next to the implant. It was also starting to...

I'm going to try my best to make a very long story short in hopes of getting an answer to why i am in so much pain still….Had a total of eight upper dental implants fail all within a year. (extraction of real teeth, bone grafting and sinus lift a year prior implant placement)) All implants have been removed one by one(no bone grafting at time of removals) and oral surgeons denied any...

The pain is next to my chin jaw. The doctor recommended having root canal since my tooth next to implant was giving pain sensation. After root canal same issue same place. I think it has to do with infection bacteria i also am a smoker ( 1 cigarette per day) i have done a cbct scan and the result as per doctors show no issue but i doubt. I would be grateful for your support since i do not know...

I have pain in my jaw since getting an implant. My cfs condition got worse at this time as well. The pain often extends into my face, sinus area and behind the eyes.My Prosthodontic says there is nothing wrong with the implant, once I removed the crown the pain reduced and now I am thinking I just want the implant out and the pain will go away: Any advice, I feel like having this pain...

I've had horrific experiences, twice now, with what professed themselves to be 'top' rated doctors in their fields of cosmetic dentistry. Spending thousands I didn't have on failing bridges/ veneers. I am currently looking for a prosthodontist/oral surgeon to preform an implant procedure along with veneers that are aesthetically pleasing. What I've had prior, has immediately lost its natural...

Hi! I have severe bone loss and gum recession around #15, and recently the tooth was infected. Dentists agree that it cannot be saved, and therefore I have been on Amoxicillin since Friday, and will need to get it extracted. I found a doctor specializing in implants, and after doing a CT scan, she said that I have only 5mm bone left, and will need a sinus lift. She also recommended doing an...
