3 years ago I had lipo on my thighs..I was very happy with my results. In 2020 I became pregnant and gave birth aug 2021. My pregnancy weight didnt impact my results. I lost my baby weight n started the pill this year. After a few months I noticed my saddle bags gradually returning. My surgeon said hormonal changes can cause fat cells to return to the treated areas. Is this true? I am extremely upset that it has returned. Not as bad. But I thought it couldnt regenerate
Hi Doctors. I am 48 years old and in menopause for 9 months, have flashes, swellings and i can see I am gaining weight easily ,I was 60 kg now is 68kg . My question is; can I do liposaction in menopause and could it badly affect to my hormonal levels ? I heard that when you stopping your women period, your fat is giving missing hormones to the body which your body stopped reproduce during menopause. And how many liters of fat is safety to liposaction during menopause? Thank you very much !
I got lipo of my belly and muffin top in 2014. A few months afterwards I noticed a significant decline with my energy and I always feel fatigued 24/7, never feeling rested. Before lipo I worked out 5-6 days a week...bootcamp 5 days a week followed by 30 minutes in the gym at 5:25 am. Now I have zero energy and maybe workout in the evening once or twice a week.
Menopause shifting of fat has made it so I can no longer lose love handles, thigh and abdominal fat even after months on my go-to 1000-1200kcal diet. I lose a few pounds but my shape is completely different. If I have liposuction now, 6 months perimenopausal, will the fat only keep coming back as I get further along into menopause? I'm afraid my extreme diet and exercise past is making 1200kcal seem like a normal day to my metabolism and not working to melt these problem areas. Should I wait?
I just set a date to have liposuction in November of this year. The surgical coordinator called me just now to give me the run-down of what to stop taking 30 days prior, and she mentioned birth control. January, I had an IUD put in (Skyla), so I asked her about this. She said it would need to be removed prior to surgery, due to the risk of blood clots from hormones. Does this sound right? I have no intention of removing my IUD- is it really something I should worry about?
I had lip of tummy and hips and flanks 4 weeks ago. 4 months before I did my legs. Since my last lipo, my weight has gone up by almost 2lbs and I have been feeling very depressed. When I ask my surgeon, he doesn't have a good answer and he says it's because I drink too much water probably! is it possible that my hormones have changed thus depression and why is my weight higher than before doing the tummy 4 weeks ago? the surgeon says he took 5lbs from legs and 1100cc's from the tummy and hips.
He just had me stop taking my ibuprofen 2 weeks prior to surgery . Is the hormones pills what cause my blood clot? I'm My very healthy had prior surgeries and never had any medical issues.
I'm considering having lipo done in my abdominal area(5' 4'',125 lb). I am concerned about the claims that it causes weight gain and hormone imbalance. Some resources claim that brown fat is found only in the neck and shoulder area but others say that some is also found in the abdomen. Can lipo remove brown fat cells? Also, I've heard that lipo increases appetite(loss of leptin)- if I get a fat transfer (grafting)instead of removing the fat completely will this still occur? Thank you.
