I was due for a lipo and bbl tmw the 21st, but was postponed since I contracted a yeast infection. My OBGYN prescribed me Metronidazole 500mg for 7 days twice a day currently on day 6, Macrobid 100mg twice a day for 5 day currently on day 1, and Fluconazole 150mg single. So my question is how soon after I'm done taking my antibiotics can I go into surgery? Also, should I start taking vitamins once I'm done with my antibiotics? I stopped 2 weeks ago since it was required due to surgery. Any advice?
Hello, I had lipo done 2 weeks ago and these are the only lipo wounds not healing (pics) they are in the pubic area. They appear deep. My PS says to put antibiotic ointment on them but Im afraid they wont close if I do. Any advice?
I liposuction and a fat transfer to my calves. After the surgery, I was in so much pain and I couldnt walk. The doctor said its normal. 4 days in the hospital because I can walk I have swelling calf red + fever, found my blood level is lower, doctor said no infection, he give me recommendations to walk. I am doing all the effort walking + massage + antibiotics but still cannot walk after 8 days still in pain. I need a help, the doctor washed his hands of this. What can I do or any specialist can help me?
Everything was ok. Two weeks after that i made fat transfer to calves. It's been one month since i did it with local anestesia. I did not took any antibiotic after the fat transfer. Few days after i made it i noticed that i had fever around 37,2. It's been 4 weeks now, and almost nothing stayed from the fat i transfered in my calves, but i still have fever 37,2 to 37,5 the whole time. Can it be as a result from the fat transfer?
In the past I have take: - Procef ( antibiotics) it gave me vomit and nausea like almost dehydrated. - Cephalexin/Keflex I develop some type of tinea barbae ( fungal infection on my face mostly left cheek) 2 weeks later. Can you please advise me what will be the most mild but still good antibiotic I should take. I have breast Implants. Is it really necessary to take for 5 days. I heard if taken the day prior and day of surgery is enough.
Hello I had liposuction three weeks ago. In Miami by a board certified surgeon. At first I was applying triple antibiotic ointment and changing the dressing. The smell was so bad......after researching I had a feeling it was necrosis. I have sickle cell disease, and never smoked. Today my doctor said it is in fact necrotic, and cut out a portion of the dead skin, told me to pack it 3x a day. My question is should I see a wound specialist. Any thing I can do to heal with minimal scarring?
