Liposonix

Liposonix uses high-intensity focused ultrasound to permanently destroy fat tissue without harming the surface of the skin.  The Liposonix treatment is cleared for use in the US, Europe, and Canada.

During a treatment, high-intensity ultrasound energy is focused on the targeted fat, similar to the way a magnifying glass works. The energy passes through the skin and the targeted fat beneath the skin is permanently destroyed. Over the next few weeks, the body naturally removes the destroyed fat from the treatment area, which may leave the patient with a thinner, more contoured waistline.

A single Liposonix treatment takes about one hour, and the device maker states that it can reduce your waistline by an average of 1 inch (2.5 cm), or about one dress or pant size.

The Liposonix procedure is not a replacement for liposuction surgery or a healthy lifestyle, or a way to lose weight. Liposonix side effects may include temporary redness, mild bruising, discomfort, and swelling.
