I am 8wks after bullhorn lip lift. Deep PDS sutures used to tack down to periosteum. Still have significant upper lip swelling that hasn't improved even after injection of 5FU a week ago. My surgeon's website says swelling should be COMPLETELY gone by 6 weeks and he previously told me the lip would drop 2-3 mm by 4-6 wks. He now tells me there is nothing wrong & I am being impatient. Something seems very wrong given the utter lack of even the slightest improvement.
On Oct. 31, 2018 i got the sarpe surgery . I'm 2 months post-opt and my lip doesn't go down. I now chew with my mouth open. Im speach impaired. Also i try to bring my lip down and it moves to the right instead of straight down . is this something that's gonna go away with time or is this damage to the nerves . my surgeon said he anchored my nose to give it time. I have a second surgery coming up the double jaw surgery but now i just wanna cancel it .this is too traumatic for me and my mental health .
I had a lip lift along with a diamond procedure (to lift the corners) on May 5th. Follow up visit is July 9. I was told to massage the area and that the doctor could re-evaluate on the 9th. (1) Is the lump an encapsulated internal stitch? If so what is the correction? (2) I have a dark line/indentation coming down from my nose that is only visible if there is light from that side and not the other. Is that a shadow caused by a lumped up internal stitch? What is the correction? Thanks!
I had a lip lift 2 months ago and I am not satisfied with the results because it looks absolutely the same as if I didn't have anything done. The only difference is that I have a small white scar on the right side of my nostril. I am having a lip lift revision and I would like to know what I can place over the scar afterwards to help the appearance? And also, when should I start applying it- right after surgery? Or a few weeks post? Thank you!!
I went back to the surgeon and he prescribed anitbiotics and antiviaral meds, which did not help at all. Then I start using cordisone cream, benadrl cream, and now tea rose. I have made an apt with a dermatologist. Help. What could this be?
