Laser Tattoo Removal description
Dermatologists often hear a request from patients: "I want to get rid of a tattoo." The doctor may suggest a laser to fade the tattoo. The type of laser used in laser tattoo removal depends on the tattoo pigment colors. There are three pulsed dye lasers developed specifically for use in tattoo removal. These lasers use a technique known as Q-switching, which refers to the laser's short, high-energy pulses: Q-switched Ruby, Q-switched Alexandrite, like the AlexLAZR, and Yag Laser (which works well at removing red, blue and black tattoo inks). Yellow and green are the hardest tattoo colors to remove and blue and black are the easiest.
