I have overactive sebaceous glands such that my face is extremely oily beyond tolerance. I was told that a certain laser might help. Problem is there are many different options. I am a 22 Asian girl. I have several pitted acne scar on both of my cheeks, and I also have oily skin with enlarged pores and broken capilaries around my nose. I have to wear foundation everyday to cover them. I am getting married next year, so I want to have a good skin condition on the big day. (At least go without those pitted scars which is not able be covered by foundation) What kind of laser or treatment should I have? And What is the price range I am going to spend on these? Thank you.
I suffer from severe acne rosacea for 2.5 years with some clearer periods. I was diag. with ulcerative colitis 2.5 years ago and then my skin broke out all over painful cystic pimples/pustules. Went to many dermatologists. No help! Then BP cleared me up. Now breaking out again + extremely oily clogged skin. Done 1 IPL +on finacea- soolantra was horrible, tried skinoren, doxy,(colitis flare) differin ,Severe Bp irritation+ permanent red skin tone :( every pore on my face is clogged. Help please!
I am in my 40's and still suffer from very oily skin which causes break outs and a nasty skin texture appearance. I also have really bad melasma, mostly on my upper cheeks. I wanted to get on Accutane, but that would force me to go on a birth control that would make my melasma worse (I learned this the hard way). My doc put me on 150 mg of spironolactone. Will this exacerbate my melasma?
