I have been suffering from rosacea for the past six months or so. I managed to get the papules under control with doxycycline, but the texture of the skin on my cheeks has rapidly deteriorated in the past few months and has become very rough and uneven with large visible pores (see attached photos). In addition, my cheeks feel chronically dry, no matter how much moisturizer I apply. Is there any way to treat this texture problem?
Hormonal acne started in 2021, due to abruptly stopping birth control. Having now gotten back on birth control this past year in 2022, I no longer have breakouts. My skin used to be amazingly perfect as I had acutane as a teenager & through the years put much money into protecting my skin from any damage and no I've never picked my face. I've had 1 fraxel laser treatment for entire face & 2 TCA peels targeting my ice picks scars. Now I'd really like to get the box car car gone. I hate my skin.
I have large pores on my cheeks and nose. What is the best laser treatment to reduce pore size? What is the best laser treatment to address rough bumpy texture and dullness? Any sort of makeup just sits on my face making it look dry, patchy, rough and old. I am only 35.
3 weeks ago I had Erbium laser resurfacing on the cheeks. The doctor didnt say to use any vaseline, they were only changing my dressing at the hospital the first days without even cleaning the dead skin on it and since day 5 Im putting hydrocolloid dressing and epitheliale a.h. Cream from a-derma on. My face is healing very slow, could it be infected or contact dermatitis? Its not painful or itchy but it feels very dry and tight. Could PRP help at this point?
I have dry skin and I was prescribed triluma for some pih I had after a chemical peel and I also wanted to lighten some freckles I normally put moisturizer under my tretinoin so I was wondering can I do the same with triluma or would it change its effacay?
I have been struggling with my skin my whole life but over the last year it has intensified immensely I have broken capillaries as well as redness primarily around my mouth and cheeks My skin is very dry and very reactive to heat and absolutely anything applied to it, it also burns and itches My family also has a history of rosacea and I flush very easily I'm waiting for my appointment with a dermatologist but any insight in the meantime would be appreciated
4 weeks post laser resurfacing around mouth, feels and looks like leather, very bad texture, deep crevices. Have always had smooth soft skin, laser was for lip lines. Followed directions to a T. Skin gets flakey when soaking with wash cloth as directed by Dr. . When skin dries it hardens. Post moisturizer from Dr. office does nothing, only olive oil softens it temporarily. Never had a skin problem in my life. I'm 64. Very upsetting.
