I'm due to have lip fillers next Saturday (Juvederm) but i have been unwell for the past 2 weeks with my throat suspected tonsillitis and suffering with my sinuses due to my hay fever allergies. I was given antibiotics for my throat and is using a steroid spray for my nose but i am still feeling unwell. It could now possibly be glandular fever, if so would i still be able to attend my appointment or would it not be wise to have fillers done at this time? What could happen if i did. Thanks.
I had Juvederm injected in my cheeks (2 syringes). After, my ears started presenting with a slight infection, aching gums/teeth & pain in front of my ears. 6 months later I am experiencing sinus issues which have made my frontal sinus swell out. The doctor told me it appears I have a blockage in my sinus canal from my nose up to my ears. I read this - FDA Warns of Complications From Facial Fillers when injections accidentally enter blood vessels, blockages and damage can occur. Is this true?
A week and a half ago, I had Juvederm injected into my cheek (near my nose) and Restylane in the tear trough. Two days later, I developed serious sinus congestion and clogged ears. The filled areas look healthy but my sinuses are completely clogged and congested. I can feel fluid sitting around my nose and lots of pressure on my nose and forehead. Could the filler be clogging my sinuses or putting to much pressure on them?
