I had my third IPL treatment yesterday. This time my dark spots got darker and my skin has that coffee grind appearance. I'm freaked out! How long does it take to disappear? It looks like dead skin (it doesn't hurt at all). Can I wear make up? I've wearing sunscreen, moisturizer and aloe vera.
I'm 23 years old and I have been doing some microdermabrasion recently and has found that it makes my skin thinner and more sensitive to the sun. I wear sunscreen on a daily basis but I want a treatment that strengthens my skin in the longer term and not make it only smooth and nice in the short term. Does IPL or photofacial help to treat sun spots and veins while at the same time strengthening the skin by creating a new layer of skin? If not, which other treatments are worth investigating?
I am a male aged 37 with skin type 1. I have had progressive poikilodermia of Civatte for the last two and a half years on sides of my neck. It got worsed over night during a summer holiday. I did use sun protection. I have both redness and brown patches. I have started with IPL treatment and I am currently on my 4 th session. Machine used is the Ellipse Nordlyse. Can not see much emprovement, but am told by my doctor to be patient. How many treatments is required for the pigmentation to fade?
I have a very white skin and some freckles on my cheeks that I want to get rid of.I've had them for like 7 years because I once tanned severely. They never seem to fade even in winter but I keep on always wearing sunscreen. Is IPL treatment really effective? and if so, is it permanent? I want to know what I'm supposed to do after the treatment is complete. Will I have to avoid the sun or is wearing sunscreen a guarantee to not get them back again? Thank you in advance.
I just had my first IPL about 30 days ago. And yesterday I went on a boat trip from 10 to 6 with some sun exposure, but always had sunscreen and hat. And when I got home, I saw some brown spots resurfacing lightly. Thinking about getting another treatment in a week for resurfaced spots and older ones. And next time, how long should I stay out the sun? I went on a hike 2 weeks for 2 hrs and I was fine, no extra brown spots. So should I stay away from the sun for over a month? P
