I had a second IPL treatment on my face a month ago and my face looked fine until this past Monday - my face was very dry and irritated - red around cheeks, nose, chin, and mouth. I looked closer in the mirror and noticed parts of my face had dark areas and appeared to be demarcation when in fact these dark areas of skin on my face was dead pigment that had not peeled off as of yet. Would this dead pigment be completely off if I had started exfoliating every day one week after treatment? Thank you.
Hello! I am a girl of 30 years, Caucasian origin. I have sunspots on the skin, and a month ago the doctor made me a peel with phenol with bad results: the sunspots are more noticeable and I developed post inflammatory inflammation in the area of the lower lip after peeling. Now that area is brown. The doctor wants to do IPL treatment, but I am afraid to develop new spots. What can i do to make disappear everything? IPL works?
I had my first IPL treatment 15 days ago. I went b/c I have some age spots in one area of my face that bother me. The technician did my whole face to even things out. I'm totally regretting it. I was very red the first day or two, then got the brown spots that peeled. Today (2 weeks+) I seem to be peeling slightly again (photo below) but really my main concern is that I have all these white stripes all over my face! I'm afraid it's scarring. Any advice is appreciated; I'm panicking!
Prior IPL on hands w/o problems. New Dr/dermatologist this time. When local wore off felt like bad sunburn, like before. But this time lasted all night. Next day looked pink no blisters. Day 2 much turned purple w/dark blisters. Dr said cover w/aquaphor come back 1 wk. Said I had a rare reaction & should never have laser again. Now Day 7 & 75% peeled is bright shiney pink-. Will it ever look like normal skin on the rest of my hands? About how long? Rare reaction my foot!!
