I visited a dermatologist yesterday and was told this was a mix of keratosis Pilaris Rubra Faceii and roceasea and to treat the redness with IPL. Does this sound right? There are no bumps on my face is smooth but I always have redness and turn more flush when I work out or get stressed.
I have been prescribed multiple creams for my keratosis pilaris rubra. Most recently I have been using a Retin-A cream (I believe tretinoin?) It has helped drastically with the bumps but not the redness. I have been using this religiously for 3-4 months. I also use a prescription cream with 2% salicylic acid and another with 20% urea. Both have a low dosage of hydrogen cortison in them. The KP is very bad on my arms and mild on my face (cheeks). Will another cream help with this? IPL? Pulse Dye?
I have read that most home IPL device brands advice not to go over areas with moles and tattoos, because the device targets areas that have pigments that are darker than (or in contrast with) your skin color. How then does this work on areas with KP, especially those with hyperpigmentation and scarring from KP
due to exposure to sun. Does IPL helps in both removing the KP redness or brownness which is remaining after using Glytone which cleared up the bumps. also that pigmentation on hands will go with IPl or not? some spa said they can't do IPL only one spa where she has trained certificate of IPL she said she can do on my skin. do u i go IPL or chemical peel will help me for both?
I have lots of redness, broken capillaries and crazy hot flushing all around my nostrils, cheeks, neck and chin. I've been told it's because of rosacea and keratosis pilaris, I'm 17. I had my 2nd IPL treatment two weeks ago but my face looks the same from before I started IPL. When will I see obvious results? Also, the dermatologist doesn't laser just under my nose, the lower bit of the nostrils despite the veins being worse there. Is there a reason for that?
My skin is constantly with a flushing/blushing look, it gets white when I press it but it returns after a few seconds. I also have severe Keratosis Pilaris in my lower arms, upper arms and chest. I've done all allergy tests and the only positive results were mold and dust mites, I've tried everything, anti histamines, gluten and lactose free diet but it doesn't matter what I do or where I am my skin is always like this, only prednisone makes my skin looks normal (white and clear). Any help?
I am a 31 y.o I've been seen by a nurse not a doctor and I asked her if its helpful to do IPL for Keratosis Pilaris dark spots and pigments at my buttocks area and behind and in between thighs and she said yes of ofcourse! So, I had an IPL treatment 19 days ago at (Laser Away) in San Francisco. Burns all over the area. Their office didn't respond. A dermatologist prescribed Neosporin_Hydrocortisone. What to do for Hyperpigmentation after flakes?
