I did a little research on how to get rid/reduce melasma. IPL seems to be one of the top choices. However, I heard its not a good option for Asian skin. What are other alternatives do I have? I started using hydroquinone two months ago. I also had three chemical peels every four weeks. My next step would be IPL or some other laser treatments. Please help. Thank you!
I read hydrocortisone thins skin especially in folds like the groin, but my derma disagreed and hed prescribed two months 2x a day with refills.Ive used 2x a day for two weeks, some discomfort decreased and i dont know when to wean off but im worried the sensitivity may never heal fully without it?or does it only speed it up? When do i stop?only once no sensitivity at all?Any natural ways for nerve irritation under skin and labia healing(no visible problems, was bit red before)like calendula oil?
I got these around my mouth 2 days after my IPL session, which had never occurred to me before. Just wondering if they are burned? PIH? or they are normal and will eventually flake off like all others....Please help. I tried Googling but didn't see anything similar....I've been putting hydrocortisone 1% twice a day and using hydrating mask containing hyaluronic acid. Is it the right thing to do?
I've had IPLs before and never had a reaction. I went to a med spa in seattle (1st time there) & got an IPL on Wednesday by a med esthetician. Went home fine and woke up morning after to LOTS of swelling under eyes and now day 2 it's WORSE! I've used antihistamine, hydrocortisone and ice to no avail! Since I've never had a reaction I am starting to panic that this May be permanent swelling and damage! I look beat up. Ive read horror stories that I didn't know were possible with IPL! Please help!
I had IPL 2 day's ago, right after the treatment I expirienced welting areas. The next morning I woke up my face was swollen. I iced right after treatment and the next day as well as applying hydrocortisone cream. The next morning I am swollen again even worse under the eye's. I didn't know about possible swelling and it has been a big shock to me. I followed the PA's orders to keep my head elevated. etc. How long will this swelling last? How else can I help the swelling besides ice?
