I felt pain while she was doing the IPL but it wasn't unbearable so she kept doing it, right after the IPL she did RF i had some bruising right after she finished with the RF ,three days after i had blisters in some areas.I feel completely horrible, Im scared to death this is going to leave discoloration and scarring. I've been communicating with the person who did my treatment and she says its going to get better with time so basically just wait.I'd like a second opinion just to ease my mind.
I had IPL 11/12/12, & 4 days later no sign of brown spots dropping off, & I have had blister(s). How long does it take for healing? 1 day - Swelling on cheeks, blister(s) on right cheek. Consultation resulted in the use of a steroid Locoid Lipocream, & use of vinegar & water solution. 3 days - Some reduction in swelling, Cold compresses 2-3 x a day. 4 days - Swelling hardly visible Brown spots dark red-brown spot right above blister; not sure if due to blister(s). I went in yesterday for IPL to treat broken blood vessels. I was not prepared for the level of discoloration I'm seeing. Over the past 24 hours the darker parts have gotten darker and there is a small blister on my forehead. My skin feels sunburnt. Is this normal or is this a burn? Have I ruined my skin? I'll be contacting my provider on Monday morning. I'm reading some fantastic horror stories about IPL reactions so any help you can provide is appreciated.
I am going on two weeks post treatment and this is what I look like. I am incredibly itchy in the areas that the blisters have broke and there is white spots that have formed in some blistered areas. I have been cleaning with water and white vinegar and just cleaned today with hibaclens. I have been applying Manuka Honey constantly and triple antibiotic ointment everyday since the day of! Please let me know if I am going to have bad scaring or what else I should do that I am not doing already.
I had an IPL treatment at high rated medspa. During procedure, physician didn't test and went ahead did my left face & chin. I told her it was really painful. She lower level for the rest of my face. However, my chin was on fire the rest of the day and couldn't sleep without ice pack on. Now my chin is red, darken up, blistering and has come liquid. I contacted medspa, they said it's normal n want to apply plasma for me .*Is plasma going to help and right thing to do?Will it leave me scar?
First time for laser treatment on face. Lots of water blisters and swelling. Had Procedure done on Friday, now it's Sunday and no relief. I lather aole vera on face and apply cold press every hour for 15 minutes. Swelling goes down after cold press, then returns within 10 minutes. How long till back to normal?
I just had an IPL done to lighten the patches caused by eczema. After 2 days, I noticed that there are blisters in the areas I had laser done. I have applied solosite on the areas. Other antibiotic creams need a prescription. What should I do next? And is it normal to have blisters after IPL?
Hello,I was badly burned from IPL on both sides of my nose. They blistered then scabbed. The provider told me to use cortison but I just can't trust the person who burned me. How can I prevent scarring or is it inevitable? How can I minimize scarring? Would fresh aloe vera help? Manuka honey? Any creams? I know to leave the scabs on for as long as possible but should I be putting something topical on them now? Once scabs fall off should I apply Mederma or other scar cream/gel? Thank you!
