I got my freckles removed once before. The dr used the same laser as tattoo removal it worked fine, the freckles were gone but I didn't like how it was healing (discolored/Asian skin) instead of dark spots, there were white spots. A year or two later my freckles are back. I was thinking an IPL but saw a lot of before& after photos that recovered badly. What other laser? Whats best? Is IPL best for freckle removal? Feedback is very much appreciated!
Hi! I'm Chinese with a fair skin tone. I have a few broken capillaries on the sides of my mouth, both cheeks. I'm wondering what would be the best laser to minimize the appearance of these, without causing hyperpigmentation? How long would these treatments last for? Thank you!
I did a little research on how to get rid/reduce melasma. IPL seems to be one of the top choices. However, I heard its not a good option for Asian skin. What are other alternatives do I have? I started using hydroquinone two months ago. I also had three chemical peels every four weeks. My next step would be IPL or some other laser treatments. Please help. Thank you!
I have light olive Asian skin and just got my IPL treatment 1.5 days ago. No serious reactions yet, just slight flaking. My brown spots and freckles are lightening. However, I also have some acne and since i'm off the medicine during recovery, I picked at several pustules yesterday. Today, those areas are red and will scab. My question: Given I just had IPL and then picked/hurt my skin, does that put me at greater hyperpigmentation risk? If not, do u foresee any other serious consequences?
Ive been to several dermatologists and got a different response each time about how to treat my SK. I was given curettage as an option a few years back. Others have said IPL while others say theyd never use IPL on Asian skin because the risk of making the spot darker. I saw a doctor today to try Eskata but was turned away because my spot is not raised. The spot is flat, textured, and about the size of an eraser end.
I had IPL treatmemt to lighten my dark/gray underarm. However, it resulted to hyperpientation. It has been 7months after the one treatment i had and my underarm never lightemed. That is why i never went back forore treatments, which i should have supposedly done, as what i have told/read so. With mu darker underas i am scared on what to do at this point. Is there any hope for this to go back to iys original skintone?or am i doomed? Thanks.
I'm Asian with fairly olive skin. In my 20s and don't dare to wear sleeveless tops in fear of getting judged. Have stopped using any antiperspirants or deodorants for past 6 months but it hasn't helped. Don't know what to do. Dark underarms IPL Lighten dark underarms Hair removal
I am 38 years old Asian. I got IPL on 12/8/16. After the treatment, I had scabs all over my face, and my face even got swollen. From day 4, scabs flaked off, and I got a beautiful skin for a week. However, my pigments got back after 2 weeks from the treatment, and they seemed to become even darker. I even see pigments that I did not see before the treatment. After 4w, I started having red breakouts on my cheek. I usually have clear skin and barely had this awful skin. Is this the side-effect?
Hi, My skin has some broken vein which appears purple on my cheeks & the fold of my nose. I also have blue vein on the jowl area that I would like to get rid off. In overall I have normal to dry skin type & some big pores on my cheeks. These are problems I consulted with a skin specialist (not dermatologist) here in Calgary. I was told that IPl is not for my skin colour as it can take the pigment out of my skin, is it true? Based on my skin condition what type of treatment should I seek?
