When I was younger my orthodontist said I wasn't qualified for braces as I had short roots on my two front teeth. I am 21 now and my ortho said that my roots are longer than what they appear on the x-ray and I can probably still qualify for orthodontic treatment. I will be starting Invisalign in the upcoming weeks. Based on the x-ray, would you say that my roots are long enough to have Invisalign treatment without compromising my teeth?
I visited a top 1% provider in my area for invisalign consultation. He just did some manual checks of my mouth, teeth, bones and jaw and an ITero scan. I asked him about x ray but he said it is unnecessary for my case. I just wonder about whether the exams he did are enough or not. Should I insist on having an x ray before my trearment starts?
Hi, I'm 40 years old, I use to have braces to correct my teeth when I was younger, but didn't see it through. I want to get my teeth straight, BUT DO NOT WANT DENTAL X RAYS. I have been advised it's not possible, is there an alternative? i just don't want to be exposed to any xray whatsoever Many thanks.
I got a crown after a root canal procedure more than 5 years ago. Since February 2016, I started wearing Invisalign braces. This week when I switched to my 7 out of 20 aligners, I have been noticing bleeding around that particular crown. Could it be from wearing braces? My dentist checked my x-ray last year and didn't notice anything odd with this tooth area.
I am currently on tray 13/39 in my invisalign treatment. My teeth were straight prior to starting, it's just that a periodontist did an occlusal adjustment, changing my bite completely by retracting lower arch. At my consult, the ortho advised that he would be able to move the lower arch forward as well as opening up my now deep bite. He decided all of this without doing a ceph. Now my face looks so asymmetrical and I'm afraid that my bone structure and ethnicity were not considered in my plan.
