My midline is off centre. My upper jaw slants down, and my arch is asymmetrical so my over jet is quite uneven. My teeth protrude out far more on one side than the other. I have had traditional orthodontic treatment before and while there has been improvement, but a relapse too, and obviously my teeth are still quite messed up. The question is, which of my listed problems i.e., midline, arch asymmetry, slant and overjet can be helped by Invisalign?
After 20 weeks of wearing Invisalign, I pointed out to my dentist, not an orthodontist, that my 2 front teeth were no longer lined up in the center of my mouth. After another 10 trays, the deviation to the left has increased so it is not centered in my face. He wants to have me wear 19 more trays and tells me they can only be moved 1/4 tooth width. I don't know if that is enough. Before we started, my front teeth were centered but my canines, right more than left, were turned and overlapped.
Hello, I have a pretty noticeable midline shift, and I have been wanting to get it fixed for quite some time. I had braces before, but my orthodontist didn't seem to care that my two front teeth were not centered under my nose. I am a college student and would prefer getting Invisalign. Would Invisalign work, and could a college student afford it? Thanks!
