I have a fear of the dentist which is why I havent been - bad I know - but now Im afraid after so long if I have them removed there will be a lot of damage. What should I do?
I just got my x-rays, etc. yesterday. Can someone explain this attachments/buttons thing to me? That is not something I had been educated on... do they go on the back of your teeth?I have to say I'm looking forward to getting the whole process going. My two teeth next to my top front teeth are about 1/3 crowded behind my front teeth. I told myself that I'd fix them before I was 30. I'm 29 now so I'm finally getting it done! She is also going to trim down my front teeth - anyone had this done?
I got my attachments and Invisalign about a week ago and a few days after some of my attachments fell out. I currently have 5 attachments missing. I called my dentist and told him what happened and he said its not a big deal and that he will put them back on when I go back in August, 2 months from now. I am worried and confused because online Im reading the complete opposite of what my dentist told me and Im paying a lot of money for my treatment.
I have 6 porcelain veneers on my top front teeth. I asked my ortho if we can avoid attachments on my veneers. Im on my 2nd set of veneers. They are 12 yrs old, expensive & in good shape. I cant handle getting new veneers. My ortho said that they need to at least put attachmnts on my outter veneers. Im extremely hesitant on putting attachmnts on them. I need them to stay in good shape. Is it safe to put attachments/glue on porcelain veneers? Is there any risk in chips, cracks, color damage, etc to veneers from attachmeents?
How much does it cost to get invisalign attachments removed and replaced? My dentist says I would have to pay out of pocket as this is for a wedding. I am not informed prior to procedures about costs at this office despite asking so have to ask on the forum.
I'm on my second to last tray. I was told I would continue to wear the last tray for two months after the two weeks of regular wear before having attachments removed and switch to a retainer. I have over twenty attachments and I hate them. Do the attachments have to stay on for the last two months (!) after the movement should be finished? Is it reasonable to ask that the attachments be removed and to wear the trays as requested without the attachments for the last two months? Thank you!
Since my dentist put 5 attachments on my bottom teeth a few days ago, it has been very difficult and painful to remove my Invisalign bottom tray. Every time I do, I expect a tooth to come out with it. I noticed today that the bottom teeth are slightly loose now. I know this is normal but I am terrified of losing a tooth. Are the trays strong enough to pull out an otherwise healthy tooth? What is the best process for removing the tray to hopefully avoid any such risk?
I just got my Invisalign aligners and after getting all the needed attachments for the front of my teeth I noticed that there were bumps on the back of my aligners. Does that mean that there should be attachments there too? My orthodontist didn't mention anything about it so I was wondering what the bumps were there for if I never ended up getting attachments there? I want to get the best result from wearing the Invisalign but if I don't have all the possible attachments how will I achieve that?
