I wear my retainer every other day and I feel that this is the cause. I have a wire behind my front teeth. My teeth hurt all the time, when I eat, drink anything! What can be done? Do I have to wear my retainer? Im 68 years old
I have teeth that slant inward. It may be from teeth shifting after a full mouth bite adjustment. I now bite cheeks at night, nip-pinch tongue edges. My already crooked teeth seem more crowded and closer. A prostodontist thought braces that can possibly even extrude teeth a bit for more height? Another said go with Invisalin? Another thought crowns? I'm trying to keep things simple. I am 70 and not rich. Your thoughts are appreciated. Need to get out of pain so I don't poke, bite soft tissues.
My Invisalign retainers are approximately 10 years old. I've been wearing them every night all that time. I recently had the flu and couldn't wear them for maybe 4 or 5 nights. Now when I put them in my mouth aches. I'm trying to wear them all the time now. How long will the aching continue? Am I handling the situation correctly? I am 68 if that matters.
I am over 65 years old and have NO dental insurance. My dentist is recommending orthodontics (Invisalign) prior to restorative work. The cost for Invisalign alone is about 25% higher than average (?) cost shown ($4640) which obviously is out-of-pocket.If I agree to straightening, I understand there are alternatives to Invisalign but I know nothing about them. Please advise.Thanx. Searching Senior
