Hi Everyone! I thought I would start a new forum on my gastric balloon journey since not too many people have posted about it.  I thought my experience may help others in case you are thinking about this. SO to start - like many others, as soon as I hit my 40s, the weight started to increase. My weight had always been consistent since I hit puberty give or take a few pounds. All of...

I am booked for my gastric balloon on the 16th Oct '17. Any advice for afterwards e.g. What fluids etc??

No questions really since I think I’ve scoured every inch of the internet researching gastric balloons. I’m having my Orbera inserted on 11/29, and am of course a mix of emotions. Scared, excited, curious, and of course hopeful that it works. I fluctuate around 205-210 and am 5’4” with a BMI of 35. I feel like this is the perfect solution to help me change my life so I can continue living....

So.... no complications thus far; just that feeling of fullness in my throat that first evening from ice chips/water and into the second day so I decided to just get it over with and vomit. Guess what? I felt so much better and haven’t been sick since. I’m not able to take in the recommended 2-3 protein shakes daily but I’m getting there. I really thought it would be worse. I actua...

Hello everyone, I need your advice! I have had my spatz3 balloon installed mid November 2017, less than a month now, but I am now feeling like my inside are on fire, just below my breastbone and between my breast. I cut back on solid food like i was trying to go back on and I now mainly on liquid but I get constipated easily, but that sensation that my chest is on fire persist. Has anyone...

I had my Spatz ballon placed yesterday in Monterrey, Mexico for about ~1,700 USD. Is been one day and cannot say they have been great but also cannot say they have been that bad...I was prepared for worse. Since the placement I have had moderate nausea, moderate acid and till now just three times vomiting sensation but have not actually vomited. I have been able to eat about 500ml of clear...

Hi All,1st Post.  So I had my balloon fit on the 31 Jan 18  Height 179 cm and Weight 120 Kg.  5 Weeks later I am 110 Kg. I seemed to lose the weight in the first week of being sick and getting used to having the balloon in my belly.  the weight seems to have stopped.  I eat proper and drink loads of water.  I will go up and down 1/2 Kg...

I had read a lot of horror stories on here so was concerned, but decided the chance to finally get some weight off and re-train my body on how to eat properly was worth the risk.  And I am sure glad I took the chance.  I think the entire procedure took about 15 minutes.  I had heard that the biggest problem was nausea and vomiting and heartburn.  I guess...

I had my GB put in 2/1/18. I haven’t been able to hold water down. I’m worried about getting Dehydrated. My other issue is that I can’t lay on my back, or right side. Anyone else dealing with this?

I had the Orbera balloon inserted on 2/9/18. Today is 2/20. I have spent the last week and 1/2 vomiting. I have barely been able to keep anything liquid much less solid down. A lot of discomfort. Despite the vomiting and lack of calorie intake the scale has not moved one ounce since the procedure. The doctor is also mystified. Has anyone else ever experienced this?
