Vitamin K (Phylloquinone)

Vitamin K is the name given to a group of vitamins normally produced in the body or found in green leafy vegetables and some vegetable oils (soybean, cottonseed, canola, and olive). The "K" is derived from the German word "koagulation", because vitamin K is essential for the functioning of several proteins involved in blood clotting. Because of its role in circulatory health, vitamin K is often a major ingredient in eye creams.

Vitamin K also helps maintain bone health.
