Should I take a Xanax before this procedure?

I'm a bit claustrophobic and I'm worried I might get freaked out having the suction device attached to me for an hour. Should I take a Xanax beforehand? Did any of you do this? Also, I'm wondering if any of you live in Manhattan--if so, which docs do you recommend?

As for the Xanax, pain can be hit or miss with CoolSculpting, so you may not need it. It's probably best to ask your doctor, since s/he'll be aware of any other meds you're taking too.
